OPEN THIS ON CHRISTMAS MORNING

THIS INDESCRIBABLE GIFT

On this Christmas Day, we’ll look upon wrapped packages and know the love and care that was put into each one arriving in the recipient’s hands. Let’s pause for a few moments before the wrapping paper crumbles to the floor to unwrap the gifts that arrived in a human package that would eventually be broken for us all.

For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God. Ephesians 2:8
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16
For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 6:23
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change. James 1:17
“Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift!” 2 Corinthians 9:15 Here, Paul described our salvation through God’s grace as an indescribable gift when he wrote to the Corinthians in praise of their generosity. God’s grace for us manifested in the birth, death and resurrection of his son, Jesus.

God is the best giver. As Paul illuminated, God’s gift is beyond description: But, it’s a gift we don’t own, because we belong to Him! We can’t keep this gift for ourselves because we are called to live by God’s grace, making a difference to the world.

This Christmas, remember hope is found in how you’ve been loved by Jesus. It will be tempting to look for hope in the gifts you receive or in the gifts you give or in people you celebrate Christmas with. The Indescribable Gift, our hope this Christmas is in the love God has for you each and every moment.

On this Christmas Day celebrate how much God loves you by sharing the Indescribable Gift. Invite someone to join you. Volunteer to make a difference. Gather around God’s word and Give for One More person to know the hope of Jesus.
